Lanzarote the “Isla diferente” is located in the Spanish archipelago of Canary Islands and it is an ideal destination, at any time of the year, thanks to its constantly spring climate and its easy accessibility, the air flight, in fact, lasts 3-4 hours.
Lanzarote is still unknown to many Italian travelers although it is a 'very charming island. Its extraordinary geology offers splendid beaches of white sand or black pebbles, enchanting landscapes dotted with well 300 volcanic cones and an extraordinary light at any time of the day.
Lanzarote is a bit reluctant, to be able to fully know its beauties and appreciate its qualities it must be explored far and wide… so don't hesitate, rent a car and… away, towards this little big universe.
In no particular order, in our opinion, the ten best places to photograph and savor, in Lanzarote Mirador del Rio, one of the most significant works of Cesar Manrique, the artist who more than any other has worked to ensure that Lanzarote does not lose its identity, the incomparable view ofisland of La Graciosa and the panoramic road leading to Haria.
The gulf, a fishing village with its typical houses leaning against each other and the wide black pebble beach with the setting sun sliding into the sea, exactly on the horizon.
Arrieta, the pier lashed by the waves, really huge when the sea is rough, and the long beach, frequented by surfers of all nationalities. The pier at dawn will fascinate you for sure.
Charco de San Gines, a large lagoon where fishermen dock their boats. Don't miss it at sunset, when the sun creates fantastic reflections in its calm waters.
La Geria, the vineyards "drowned" in cones in the lava soil, protected by semi-circular walls, an example of very particular and unique viticulture in the world. The strong contrast between the green of the plants and the black of the lava will captivate you.
Playa de Famara, the widest beach on the island ideal for photographs of surfers, windsurfers and kitesurfers in action but, why not, for a beautiful portrait or an unforgettable sunset. Walk along the beach in the direction of Risco, you will find exceptional views.
Punta Papagayo, a protected nature reserve, dotted with a series of beaches and coves of golden sand that plunge into the ocean of a thousand colors, all to be explored. Look for an unusual point of view!
Salina del Janubio the only saline still active on the island, with its pools and piles of salt that reflect the colors of the sky, the black beach that runs along it and, in the background, the volcanic cones.
Charco de los Clicos, the small emerald green body of water, set between a sheer volcanic wall and a black lava stone beach. Unique, without half measures, a show that leaves you speechless.
Femes, the view from the Mirador is exceptional, but if you feel like walking, climb the volcano with the antennas, an easy path (uphill!) will take you to the top in about 45 minutes. You will be speechless!
And this is just the beginning… eyes open and camera ready! Lanzarote will not cease to amaze you with its wonderful views.
