Benalmadena Pueblo, Malaga, is a typical Andalusian village with white houses and colorful geraniums in the windows. In the heart of the town we find the “Pre-Columbian Archaeological and Art Museum” closed on Mondays; here we can admire a very numerous collection of archaeological finds from the pre-Columbian period, considering that it is the first most important museum in the whole country.
We follow our journey out of the country in the hilly area and meet the "Estupa Budista”(Buddhist monument): this is considered the first cult monument of Tibetan Buddhism largest in Europe, it is in a panoramic area and on very clear days you can even see the African coast. It is closed on Mondays andentry is free. In addition to being a center of worship it is also often the site of beautiful exhibitions.
Close to this monument we find the "mariposario"Or a park with the presence of 20.000 species of butterflies from all over the world (open every day from 10 to 18 and ticket cost is € 9,50).
Let's go back to the coast and if you are a golf lover, what is right for you is the "Benalmadena Golf“: A well-kept golf course of 9 busches, equipped, illuminated to play even at night and with a really delicious modern fusion cuisine restaurant called“ Bamboo ”.
