A dream called Kenya: safari and relaxation

A safari in Kenya, relaxation on the beach and close encounters with hippos, crocodiles, giraffes and lions, all with just one mantra in mind: pole, pole, as Africans like to say in this part of the world.

One of the most unique and suggestive places on the African continent.
Here we meet the magnificent ones white beaches of Watamu, where you can relax with a freshly picked coconut in your hand (with the inevitable straw and umbrella) while sipping its sweet and thirst-quenching juice, it's not a pleasure, it's a duty.

Life in these parts must be taken "pole pole"Or slowly and actually how to blame him. Once you have placed your feet on the white and fine sand as sugar and immersed yourself in the warm and placid crystal clear waters, who would think to be in a hurry. The routine and the dullness of the city have slipped away, down and down, along the sunscreen! Relax, swim in the sea, sunbathe, drink at sunset lying on a hammock.

But something is still missing to complete this wonderful picture. I feel the rhythm of the drums that begin to beat in my blood and I am no longer in the skin with the desire to leave for adventure. Finally the long awaited safari the true and absolute purpose of this trip is approaching. In the shoes (and especially with the hat) of a modern Indiana Jones I get on our off-road vehicle ready for adventure.

We cross rough paths framed by a landscape of red earth and an infinite sky to arrive in a place full of charm and emotions. A breathtaking place called Tsavo.
Unique and unforgettable sensations that remain etched in the mind and soul.
Only in this beautiful place can we come face to face with giant elephants with mild and wise eyes, admire hidden lionesses playing with cubs, peek at the sinuous run of a cheetah, hear the roar of the King himself and observe herds of huge hippos bathe with puppies. A few steps from these wild places we meet crocodiles who watch us with open jaws, shy giraffes watching us with their sweet fringed eyes and flocks of leaping impalas running carefree across the savannah.

When we return (exhausted but tremendously happy) to the camp to rest, we still have in our eyes the wonderful images we have captured throughout the day.

Le comfortable and romantic curtains they tempt me but I decide to stay a little longer to observe unspoiled nature and savor the light breeze that smells of earth.
But the surprises aren't over yet. While I settle on a comfortable deckchair by the stream to rest, a huge pachyderm considers my presence interesting, so he decides to settle down just two centimeters from my frightened feet. But it's so peaceful that it gives me a calm and sense of relaxation that I never would have thought of.

When she finally decides to leave me in favor of better shores, I feel almost robbed. But now that its bulk has moved I can see the magnificent sunset that sets the banks of the small river near our tents on fire. I haven't returned yet but I already feel the sickness of Africa and the heart beating to the sound of drums, full of love for this indescribable and unique land.
