In third place by number of passengers among the Andalusian airports, theAlmeria airport (LEI) is located in the center of the bay of the same name and 9 kilometers east of the provincial capital. Ideal for domestic flights, the airport has excellent connections with tourist destinations in the province of Almeria such as Cabo de Gate and Mojacar.
The passenger terminal was renovated in 1995 and a new departures building came into operation in 2009.
Easily accessible thanks to the A7, the so-called Mediterranean motorway, the N344 and the local bus line 20, Almeria airport has several car rental agencies.
