Cadiz, what to see in Spain in just one day, from the Catedral Vieja to the historic center to the seafront. A city dream not to be missed in Andalusia.
THEAndalusia is full of priceless treasures and, among them, Cadiz it is a rare pearl. The beauty of Cadiz is entering the city, perhaps with your own car and perhaps in the driver's seat. An experience that is not very exciting to define.
And how drive on water: in front of the city, on the right and on the left the sea, you are traveling through that long and narrow strip of land that connects Andalusia to the peninsula on which Cadiz rises and towers.
It is such an intense experience that it is almost scary. Once you reach your destination, finding a parking space is simple and quick and, emerging from the underground parking, you only have to decide whether to stop and dream on the seafront or to discover how much the Old Town can offer.
And offers, you know ?! It is nice to be welcomed by the colored jets of water from a fountain that almost acts as a handrail towards the majestic one Old Cathedral which, with its golden dome, reigns supreme.
From there, there are streets with an orderly and always the same geometry, in which getting lost is reserved only for careless experts, and, on the sides of which, shops of all kinds and species welcome tourists in search of burly booties to take home.
Cadiz is the shopping city, of worldliness, of lightness; proof of this are the hundreds of thousands of travelers who flock to the streets of this small but precious Spanish jewel.
I hope you do not suffer from a stiff neck, because you will spend a long time looking up to enjoy the view of the tall and elegant aristocratic palaces which, with their shade, will make your stay in the city milder and more pleasant.
