I live in Seville for a month and now the flamenco it's part of my days. The girls dance it for the corridors of the college, as a welcome gift at school I was given a CD with the best songs of well-known flamenco companies, and the shop windows are illuminated by the bright colors of the typical Sevilliana traje.
But quality shows are expensive. El Arenal, one of the best known flamenco clubs in calle Rodo, is undoubtedly magnificent and offers sensational concerts, but perhaps a little too expensive: a ticket is around 35€.
Last Thursday, however, during one of the many pilgrimages with friends along the river, in calle betis, we came across a delightful place: Cafe T de Triana. On Tuesdays and Thursdays it offers pleasant flamenco shows, with skilled dancers and trained musicians. There beer and wine they are cheap (around 2 €, as in all the clubs in Seville) and you are in company enjoying a good show. Funny then they are final improvisations by the audience, who sings and claps to the rhythm of flamenco ...
I do advice, for a different evening with an Andalusian flavor!
