You can easily get to the apartment Chic & Basic Born of Barcelona with the meter L4 (stop - Jaume I) or L1 (stop - Arc de Triomf) then continue on foot for another 5/10 minutes. The hotel is located in one of Barcelona's most vibrant neighborhoods, El Born. Precisely at the end of Carrer de la Princesa, a stone's throw from the Citadel park, the Arc de Triomf and Barceloneta.
Seeing it from the outside it looks like a normal hotel located in a beautiful historic building, but it is the inside that amazes with its character and captivating design, now I'll explain exactly what you should expect by entering here.
La marble staircase to go up to the floors is wonderful, I appreciated the beautiful chandelier with a shower of crystals that fell for almost the entire length of the floors.

This hotel is the perfect place for one romantic getaway as the atmosphere inside is very special: soft lights of different colors and curtains signal the entrance to the different rooms.
La chamber, like most hotels in Barcelona, is not very big. But it's definitely extravagant!
The large glass shower is in the center of the room and the bathroom is visible, separated only by a curtain with many LED lights that change color: very effective at night. During the day the room is very bright thanks to the large windows overlooking the internal courtyard and the furniture all based on shades of white.

The hotel has a common self-service area freely available to hotel guests, where it is possible to relax listening to music, read a book and enjoy an espresso coffee comfortably seated on very comfortable sofas.
Among the other services of the hotel are the gym, wifi in all rooms and the reception open 24 hours. Convenient if, as in my case, the plane was late and you had to arrive in the middle of the night.
Furthermore, as with most of the Spanish hotels, it is possible, with a supplement, to use the service breakfast at the bar / café located on the ground floor next to the reception. Otherwise just go out and head towards the center. In the city center there are many bars where you can have the classic breakfast with croissants, coffee and orange juice. In addition, nearby the Santa Caterina Market, less famous than the Boqueria, but with a particular architecture and certainly less crowded.
Barcelona is a city that offers countless events, cultural proposals and activities every day: it is impossible to get bored! The right accommodation must be found calmly because it must be central and also comfortable. This also applies to a romantic getaway in the city, for a single weekend or for a few days.
