During the my trip to Madrid this year I also caught the Chinese New Year, by chance, and it was really fun. Today begins the new year of the Chinese calendar which sees this year as theyear of the dragon.
What happened in Madrid, hard to say. Having never actively participated in a Chinese New Year, I find it hard to say if everything took place “regularly” or what they did after the show. What is certain is that from Plaza del Sol are the parade has come up to Plaza de Oriente where she put herself well on display to be photographed and admired. The classic dragon stood out on everything while alongside there were children, adults and children with balloons ready to take and have photos taken.
I had never seen Chinese New Year and it really was funny. Below is a short video of the event :)
