The tenth edition of the Culture Festival a Barcelona tomorrow 8 November to end on day 11. The Raval, one of the most evocative neighborhoods located near the Rambla, will be the backdrop to the festival.
Il Raval it is one of the European neighborhoods with the highest density of residents, most of them of foreign origin. The neighborhood therefore presents itself as a space for sharing and cultural mixing, increasingly intense and "intrusive". To all this is added the poverty and poor economic conditions in which the majority of the inhabitants of the Raval live, in sharp contrast to the glories and excesses of the tourist Rambla or Plaza Catalunya.
From this context was born in 2002 the Fundaciò Tot Raval, which is nothing more than a meeting space for 60 units between people, companies and volunteer groups gathered for a single purpose: to improve the living conditions of the Raval.
For ten years now, workshops, courses and events have been organized aimed at cultural promotion and social cohesion. Among these the Festival of Culture.
For the 2012 edition the organization has planned 10 different itineraries:
- "CON-vivències”Activities that promote equality, solidarity and coexistence;
- "educART”Workshops and educational actions aimed at children but also for the youngest;
- "Enjove't!”Activities for young and old organized by the different youth collectives of the neighborhood;
- "Hi havia una vegada un gat ... " with guided tours through the most emblematic spaces of the district and historical activities;
- "En RE major!“, A path based on music and concerts;
- "rev-play-fw”Projections of documentaries, short films and audiovisual arts;
