LJerez de la Frontera airport (XRY), also known by the name of Solera, from the name of the production method of Sherry, is located 8 kilometers northeast of the city and plays a fundamental role in the tourist development of the province of Cadiz. The airport is also ideal for reaching Gibraltar, Seville, which is 80 kilometers away, and the Costa del Sol, just 90 minutes by car.
A third of the airport's passenger traffic is due to domestic flights, a share that has significantly decreased since the low-cost airline Ryanair took office. Modern and efficient, Jerez Airport can be reached by car, it is accessed from the N IV national road and from the N 346 which connects it with the P4 motorway, by taxi and by bus thanks to the 3 lines that connect it with Cadiz, El Puerto de Santa Maria and Costa Ballena.
Since 2011 Jerez airport has also been served by the railway line.
