Barcelona, alas it is not as famous as Madrid for its people museums rich in splendid and unobtainable works of art elsewhere. Rather. City museums often offer abstruse exhibitions of ancient local glories or artists so modern as to be understood only by the usual small group of bespectacled intellectuals.
Fortunately, there are some exceptions! (apart from the one I propose now of course)
Il center of contemporary culture of Barcelona, otherwise known by the tongue twister acronym of CCCB, often hosts photographic exhibitions of international scope. Currently e until May 25th, presents the photographic exhibition “Más Fotoperiodismo”, a collection of the best photographic works presented in 2011 at the most important documentary photography festival in Europe: Visa pour l'Image in Perpignan.
You can see works on the tsunami in Japan, the Arab Spring, the culture of drug trafficking in Mexico, belonging to anonymous photographers but also to big names in photojournalism such as Yuri Kozyrev (Noor) Shaul Schwarz (Getty Images), Martina Bacigalupo (VU).
