THEAlcazar of Seville, in the historic center, a few steps from the Giralda (the tower of the Cathedral from which Pope John Paul II looked out), is still the seat where King Don Juan Carlos and his family stay when they are visiting the city.
Wonderful structure in Mudejar style, certainly smaller and less known than theAlhambra of Granada but not of lesser charm, it can only be visited in half: the royal lodgings are obviously excluded from the visit. What I want to tell you today, however, is not the undisputed beauty of this fortress, but the legend that revolves around a very particular room that is inside.
I refer to the patio de las Munecas (or patio of the dolls), the place where little princesses went to devote themselves to their games. The arches, which characterize the entire building, are here made up of very highly worked stuccoes, a process so dense that the human eye can hardly grasp the details.
Well, dear young and sweet maidens, are you looking for love? To find it, all you have to do is go to the Alcazar of Seville. Legend has it that those who, in the patio de las Munecas, are able to discern, among the infinite inlays, two small doll heads, he will find love within the year and luck will assist him. I advise you to wear eyeglasses and a lot of patience because it will be like finding a needle in a haystack! But, on the other hand, the expense is worth the effort. Don't you think so ?! Good love and good luck to all.
