In a multi-ethnic city like Singapore, you will certainly not be disappointed in the variety of cuisine: ready for a low cost food tour?
Singapore is a multiethnic city therefore, the problem of what to eat does not arise.
It is impossible not to find something that pleases Singapore: there is food for all tastes!
We go from Chinese to Indian, from Thai to Arabic, from Japanese to Malay. In short, your taste pupils will be satisfied.
The dishes to taste are many and, fortunately, in addition to the clubs, there are many places where you can taste everything in style Street Food.
In this article I want to tell you about restaurants 5 that most excited me.
1. Jumbo Seafood
It is a restaurant chain which you can find in various areas of Singapore; we ate in that of Clarke quay, overlooking the neighborhood and the river.
Here we tasted the famous Chilli Crabs, the typical dish par excellence!
The crab is stir-fried in one sweet and spicy tomato sauce; usually served together with mini "Buns“, Which are small sandwiches with a very sweet flavor.
I loved this dish, the sauce is really special and the crab cooked to perfection.
Super recommended.
2. Din Tai Fung
This restaurant too it is part of a chain, we had lunch in the one inside the mall The Shoppes at Marina Bay.
Its strong point are the Handmade dumplings before your eyes.
Dumplings are typical Chinese dumplings steamed (there are also sautéed) and here you can indulge yourself in tasting them with a thousand different fillings.
We ate them with pork and shrimp and with the crab: really great!
We have to wait a little bit because, as I said before, they are prepared on the spot but, I assure you, it's worth it.
3. Feng Bo Zhuang
This restaurant is located in Temple St. in the district of Chinatown.
We happened upon it one evening by accident and were thrilled.
We ordered Fried Rice with Shrimps & Eggs (stir-fried rice with prawns and eggs: a delight in these parts), Chinese Buns (Chinese steamed buns that go well with anything) e Fried Prawns with Cereal (shrimp fried in cereals, instead of the classic breadcrumbs).
The place is small and nice really low prices, as in all Chinatown.
4. Maccha House
I am not a lover of Green tea pure, but I love it in desserts or mixed with milk and ice cream.
So when we were in Orchard Road, we went here, to House of the Matcha.
We tasted the Windows, Tempura Soba (Noodles in broth with tempura), the cooked salmon, Maccha Milk and Maccha Tiramisu.
I liked everything! The Ramen was as good as that eaten in Japan, the Noodles too, the exquisite salmon and the two really greedy Macchas.
5. The Dim Sum Place
This was the first restaurant we went to, so we ordered anything!
It is found at North Bridge Road, in the vicinity of Kampong Glam and immediately attracts attention for the variety of dishes and the very tidy environment.
Very good Fried Rice, the Dumpling both steamed with prawns and sauteed with pork and other spices, the spring rolls he Udon in broth.
Absolutely to try, also for the very competitive costs.
I have eaten everything in this city and I must say that I was almost always satisfied.
When traveling it is very nice, as well as admire the beauty of the place, also taste the culinary ones.
It adds value to the experience.
