A Madrid, as in all other cities, there is a more touristic neighborhood where it is always not recommended to go for one reason or another, but above all because they steal your money without having or knowing anything characteristic of the place. There is also a neighborhood like this in Madrid and it is right behind it Puerta del Sol. Here many places are chains or you can see that they have little in common with the truest Spain and then, and then there is Taberna Alhambra.
I must immediately say that the discovery I didn't do it, but whoever was with me followed the directions of Francesca who had been to Madrid a few weeks before and had strongly recommended this place to us. So we went on the safe side. La Taberna also had some foursquare recommendation, we immediately understood that the place was the right one!
La Taberna really is very pretty inside of. We arrived at 14 pm, just a few minutes before everyone else evidently because then the place filled up and the line of people waiting for our table to vacate was amazing.
The amazing thing about this place is the quality / quantity / price ratio. We have chosen practically half of the menu list (the photo above is a witness) and we have paid less than 10 € each. Really great. In addition, the food was so tasty and plentiful that we were unable to finish it with great regret.
The best thing I ate in here was the fried goat cheese with cranberry sauce, you have no idea of the delicacy of this dish, if I think back it makes me too much desire to hear it again. We also took the paella, a mega salad, tortilla and tapas. I recommend it 100%.
