Il Vermanitis di Riga it is a rather nice place and very low cost. The place is located in Elisabetes Iela 65 right next to the Hotel Latvjia. The restaurant is more a self-service with a huge variety of choices. At the entrance, a long corridor leads to the room where you can get drinks and food. The appetizer buffet it is free, as well as the desserts and side dishes, for meat and first courses, indeed the single dishes, instead there are women dressed in typical clothes.
You can make it whatever you want and then move on to paying the cashier, a bit like Ikea in short, but the food is absolutely local and the typical dishes. Once paid there are several rooms, quite large where you can sit and eat.
There are many boys and students, but also families, probably because the place is quite cheap, one average dinner it costs around 5€ and you eat a lot.
