An unusual way to get around the city of Barcelona is on a Vespa. Vesping is the service offered by two Italian guys in the Spanish city of Barcelona. Here is the story of my vespa trip with Vesping.
In my last trip to Barcelona i tried super service. I had never toured a city on a Vespa, in the Tuscan countryside yes, but not in the city. Vesping it allowed me to do it and the result was so great that now I can't wait to replicate with the next city to visit.
Why is it worth it? Vesping is a service that allows you to rent a Vespa (new model, not old for those who want to know) for 3 hours or even a full day but also a weekend to see the city from another point of view. This is what really got me hit it of the service. With all the trips made I had never thought about this alternative to move, and if you do not know what to do in Barcelona the tours are found by Vesping.
In fact, when I go to a city I think about walking, by mentrop Metropolitana (even if I don't see 90% of things along the way) or by bus. It is true that there is also a rental bike, you might say, but the avespa is much faster, more comfortable ... and I assure you a lot a lot of fun.
With the scooter rental Vesping we were able to do different routes: go up to Mount Tibidabo, 512 meters above the sea level of Barcelona, look for one confectionery which I absolutely wanted to try, go to meet Francesca and finally go eat a Barceloneta and lay on the beach. All these things we would have done in 2 days of travel using the means to move from one part of Barcelona to another and we would not have enjoyed the journey. With Vesping we did them in one day. Ah, in the evening we also went to see Parc Guell and when we had to return the Vespa it is there I cry my heart a little.
This service offers an alternative, cheap, fun and even way romantico to travel to Barcelona. Vesping is located in Carrer Lepant 277 practically behind the Sagrada Familia and the two guys who created and run Vesping today are two Italians very smart and kind, Vittorio and Valentino. The rental price obviously depends on the weather.
THEVespa rental in Barcelona and especially with Vesping it comes for 6 hours 45€, 24 hours are 65 €, an extra day for the latter is 45 €, while for a whole weekend the price is 110 €. I hired it for a full day and it changed my vacation, no doubt. it should also be noted, as you can see on display on the Vesping website, that this service is second on 173 tours taking place in Barcelona according to users of TripAdvisor. Not bad.
Also at the time of collection you will be given all the instructions to get around the city in the best possible way. The Vespa is in fact equipped with a navigator which in addition to making you set the places you like most manually will make you discover Barcelona through 4 city tours, of your choice. I Tours, from the sea to the mountains to the splendid tour all about Gaudì, allow you to get to the places of interest, stop in the areas where you can take the best photos and recommend places to eat or have an aperitif. In addition to the helmets you will also be given gods windproof jackets like the ones in the picture. I rode quietly for my tour in Barcelloneta and had a lot of fun;)
Thanks also to Travel True for letting me discover the wonderful report with his interview with the founders;)
Here a video which tells about my trip to Barcelona, also in the company of Vesping!
