Sleeping at home in Lanzarote, the review of the apartment rented with Airbnb in the Canary Islands. If you are traveling low cost, choosing an apartment could be the ideal solution for you.
There are many solutions to sleep in Lanzarote. On my recent trip to this enchanted island, I stayed in a small Flat area Puerto del Carmen.
Perfect if you are traveling low cost and at the same time looking for the comforts of an accommodation in the center, from where you can move comfortably in all directions.
Sleeping in an apartment in Lanzarote
I am used to low cost travel, but I have never stayed in a rented apartment during my holidays before. For the trip to Lanzarote in December, I checked the hotel prices though and they were all over budget at the time.
So, I took a look at the Air Bnb short-term accommodation site and found this small but delightful studio apartment in Puerto del Carmen, at around 40 euros a night.

I chose the area of Puerto del Carmen because it is a central area, well connected by bus to all the attractions of the island. It is also a very touristic area where there are supermarkets, bars, restaurants and shops.
In fact, as I often travel alone, I like to have everything close at hand and still be in an area not too far from inhabited centers.
The Todo apartment one minute away
The one minute Todo apartment is so called because it has everything you need close at hand. The bus stop, shops, supermarkets and even the tourist office are within a few minutes' walk.
One of the best things about this accommodation is the fact that it is not located right on the main promenade in Puerto del Carmen. The address is in one residential street parallel to the central one. So, despite being in the center, the area is quiet and peaceful.
The apartment is on the first floor of a white building. It is accessed by climbing a flight of stairs.
As soon as you arrive, you immediately feel on vacation. There is indeed one shared swimming pool which can be used freely.
The apartment is a studio with a small terrace overlooking the pool. Outside there is a small table, perfect for having breakfast outside or for an aperitif looking at the wonderful sunsets of Lanzarote.
In the house there is a single bed and a half, table, wardrobe and kitchenette with all the accessories needed in the kitchen.
Also available are salt, sugar and coffee. The owner of the house, Irene, had also left me some snacks on the table. I really appreciated the thought, as I hadn't eaten since the night before the trip.
In the kitchen there is also a toaster and a microwave, which are necessary for me.
The bathroom is small but very clean and functional, as is the whole house in general.
I also enjoyed the bookshop, where you can find books in Spanish and English, which you can read and of course put back in place.
How to get from the airport to Puerto del Carmen
To get from the airport to Puerto del Carmen, I took the bus number 161 directly outside the terminal. It takes about 15 minutes and the cost of the ticket is 2,80 euros for a round trip.
The closest stop to the apartment is where the Adidas store is located in Puerto del Carmen. In order not to be mistaken, ask the driver to notify you when you have arrived.
From there, it is about 3 minutes on foot to reach the apartment.
