Low cost travel to Canada between Toronto and Montreal: tips on how to travel cheaply, using suitable travel companies and Airbnb.
Canada: boundless nature, tall pines along the perimeter of blue and crystalline lakes, bears and maple juice. The desire to discover this still wild land usually imposes a heavy cost and many days to dedicate to the discovery of Canada.
Canada low cost, travel tips
Well, I want to reveal some secrets to making Canada one low cost destination and in a short period of days! The first requirement is madness, the one that generally represents an inveterate traveler, he needs to be constantly exploring the world to be full of vital energy.
Second fundamental aspect is to be skillful drivers, those who like to travel long distances with background music, wide and straight roads, just like in the movies (tip: gasoline in North America is cheap respect Europe).
Third and last requirement is to choose to stay in apartments using Airbnb in order to strategically choose the location, the type of house based on the budget and the relative comforts (first of all free parking).
Montreal and environs
My first stop making only a stopover in London, after a quiet cheap air travel thanks to Hopper, is Montreal. A fascinating city full of contrasts: art that meets French history, music, and different cultures. Walking through the districts of the center I suggest you stop and savor this charm from Aunja (1448 Sherbrooke St W, Montreal, QC), a magical place.
During this week my bases have been Montreal (3 days), Toronto (4 days) and again Montreal (1 day) taking the plane. Meanwhile, thanks to the car rental adjacent to the Montreal airport, I discovered the neighboring cities of my two bases immersing myself in nature and the city.
Traveling on the road I explored Quebec City, where I tasted an excellent poutine, typical Canadian dish and the tender reindeer in the inn La Buche (49 Rue Saint Louise, Quebec City, QC).
Towards Toronto
Traveling to Toronto, thus changing Airbnb base, I discovered a new land: English influence, rowers who cross the canals with their long and narrow boats, skyscrapers, reminiscent of the cosmopolitan spirit that feeds the streets of the Anglo-Saxon city.
Any Canadian flavor can be enjoyed at a typical indoor food market, the St. Lawrence food market, where the scents of fresh cheeses intertwine with the smiles of the locals who proudly buy local products. Between Toronto and Ottawa the road trip deserves a stop to visit a wonder of nature: the Niagara Falls. Letting yourself be bathed by the small drops of the immense waterfall makes you realize how Canada is a combination of culture and nature without borders.
The return to Montreal could not fail to contemplate a beautiful one canoe trip in St Albert Lake, Mont Tremblant to experience a breathtaking adventure.
Canada has meant for me the union between man and nature and in this trip that I suggest, a low cost touch and escape to be amazed by all the colors of this immense region.
