Cinema under the stars in New York, all the dates and films




    THENew York Tourist Board City and Rooftop Films organize free outdoor screenings of American film classics and hits for five districts.

    At Bronx Terminal Market, four nights of open-air cinema starting July 10 on Tuesdays at the Bronx Terminal Market, near the Yankees Stadium. A evening for the whole family, with cartoon screenings and many activities for the little ones.

    A Brooklyn cinema on the beach, a Coney Island also this summer Flicks Coney Island on the Beach. Every Monday from 2 July to 6 August and Saturday 14 July the appointment is at sunset on the beach, with classics and new releases.

    Manhattan: cinema in the park a Tompkins Square Park in the East Village. The park will be the green setting for great cult films presented for eight weeks every Thursday from June 28 to August 16. In addition to screenings, live music, poetry and special installations are scheduled.

    Queens: cinema at the museum. The Target Passport Fridays al Queens Museum of Art returns from 6 July to 24 August with dance performances, concerts and of course outdoor film screenings, while al Socrates Sculpture Park in Long Island City, the international film festival is scheduled every Wednesday from 4 July to 22 August. The park, overlooking the East River, boasts one of the best views over Manhattan and at the same time it houses large sculptures and installations by contemporary artists.

    Staten Island: cinema and baseball. St. George Film Series, organized in collaboration with the Staten Island Yankees, will offer sports themed films from July 26 to August 16 every Thursday. The Staten Island district can be reached with the free ferry from Lower Manhattan.
