More and more we Italians decide to choose the Croatia: it's close, easy to reach, and most importantly, it's beautiful. This summer I spent a few days in the nearest area anoi, theIstria, more precisely a Vrsar / Vrsar.
The location is perfect: walking a few tens of km you can visit towns such as Rovinj / Rovigno, Poreč / Parenzo and Pula / Pola, but also go down to the southern tip of the peninsula in the beautiful park of Kamenjak (Premantura) or visit the Caves of Baredine, if you have a little time, the islands of Cres and Krk, while Rijeka / Rijeka is only an hour and a half away.
The country is small and lively, tourists have only reached it in recent years so you can still breathe a certain tranquility even in August. There are some beaches, mainly of stones and some concrete platforms, but even I, who was initially very suspicious, found myself very well, the only advice is to buy shoes to bathe.
THEwater it is always chilly but so transparent and beautiful that you forget even the chills. I stayed in Valentino Apartments of Mr. Zuzič, he is always extremely kind and available and the accommodations are very nice, simple but still spacious (we also had 2 bathrooms) and with everything you need.
I prices are very low and you have always secured parking. You are not really in the center but in a residential area which is very convenient. The restaurant has an agreement Dvi Palms, which is located near the port: excellent for trying fish dishes, nothing extremely refined but of good quality and a honest prices.
