Five things to do in the Principality of Monaco to avoid spending a fortune and to see something really interesting on holiday, also follow the tips for eating.
My motto for facing the low cost principality: look but don't touch.
If you follow this rule, a world of opportunities will open up, here are my favorites
1. Go along rampe de la Major
Un upward path towards the prince's palace where you can observe the view of the port. The route is entirely pedestrianized and starts from Avenue du Port. If you are not fond of slopes, however, I recommend that you hold on tight, do not give up, take a few stops along the way admiring the landscape, because after the narrow climb between the defensive walls, past the last door, the feeling of opening towards the square is beautiful. Absolutely to try.
2. Visit the pavillons in the Casino square
Once seen, you will not be able to believe your eyes: they are temporary pavilions built to house the shops ofHotel de Paris and the Sporting d'Hiver currently under restoration. The refinement and attention to detail of these temporary pavilions will give you a clear idea of the wealth of the principality, it still does not seem possible to me that once the work is finished they will dismantle them. Obviously the boutiques inside them are the most inaccessible, I recommend, if you are suffering from compulsive buying, always repeat the initial motto.
3. Relax on the Larvotto beach
Although we are a Montecarlo where everything has a price and also high, you can freely enjoy the beach. As soon as I saw it I was very surprised that near the center of Munich there could be such a beautiful, clean and free beach. THE white pebbles of the beach help to make the water crystal clear, but the sensation they leave under your feet is also pleasant. Also if you go to the pier you can dive in the middle of flocks of sea bream! If you are lucky, included in the beach, pebbles and sea bream package, you might happen to hear the concerts held at the nearby sporting club.
4. Eat low cost
The only way to find something to eat low cost is to go to port hercule, on Quai Albert 1er, there are always street vendors who they sell hot dogs and sandwiches, we enjoyed them looking at the yachts docked at the port, not bad. Even better if you come here in winter, they usually set up Christmas markets and an ice skating rink. If you are traveling with children, there is always some carousel or game to keep them busy for a while. I am not very passionate but, if you are well informed about the dates, in August and at the last of the year you can enjoy your sandwich while admiring pyrotechnic shows unique in their kind.
5. Feeling VIP but low cost
If you want to feel VIP too, like true luxury tourists, follow this advice: take from piazza del Casino Avenue de Monte-Carlo, on the left you will find a closed gate overlooking a garden. Open it and enter, it is not a private property, but a public garden, you will feel like you are the owners. Furthermore, for someone like me who is not very fond of the most exclusive brands and the river of people who flock along these streets, the well-kept garden will make you breathe a breath of oxygen from the confusion.
