The origins of the Haiku Ladder
The Haiku staircase was also renamed the "stairway to heaven": made up of 3922 steps, it was completed in 1942 and was used for wiring the radio cable area.

Tips for climbing
To get on, as I wrote before, you need to leave before sunrise (or after sunset) so as not to run into the security and control services coming from downtown Oahu.
If you decide to try it, know that it is illegal: before starting you will need to climb over a gate and take the right direction that leads up to the stairs.
The path is very tortuous so it is preferable not to suffer from vertigo (otherwise don't venture!) And bring with you equipment such as: rain jacket, a torch for the darkness of the night (for example if you leave after sunset) and gloves with grip .
Once you have passed the roughly four thousand steep and narrow steps, you will arrive in paradise: you will be entranced by the landscape on the horizon and you will ride the clouds above Kaneohe!
