I've never made such long trips, in terms of hours, but the honeymoon is done only once in a lifetime, so it had to be special, which is why the designated destination should have been too. The choice fell on Hawaii islands, three stages: O 'ahu, Maui e Kauai. First stop Honolulu, O 'ahu.
Mamala Bay, Waikiki Beach
When you think of Hawaii, you immediately think of the sun, the beaches, the surf and the fun. But there is much more to discover, including history and nature. The weather in Honolulu is very variable. Mostly sunny, with sudden short-term thunderstorms, typical of an area with a tropical climate.
La Mamala bay, located on the southwestern side of the island of O 'ahu, has many wonderful places beaches, including that of Waikiki, characterized by a fine and grainy sand. The beach is bordered by a long sea, where it is possible to find both those who are dedicated to jogging and those who enjoy the ocean breeze while walking or listening to music. Next to it is Fort DeRussy Park, a green area also equipped for picnics with friends or family, with wooden tables and braziers.
The ocean, unlike the currents we are used to, is much more lively, but a bath is a must, at least to tell about it once you get home.

While you are on Waikiki Beach, the dive into history could start right here by visiting it US Army Museum
Pearl Harbour
An excursion to the place where the bombing took place followed up in Hiroshima and Nagasaki is another essential stop from your stay in Honolulu. Once in the historic site, you can choose to take the shuttle that leads to the dock where the USS Missouri is moored, a fighter ship of the time kept in perfect condition - the wood of the bridges is the original one - and explore the interior between the bridge, the officers' quarters, the canteen, the medical room, the post office.
You would also enter a part of the story yourself. On board the USS Missouri Japan signed its surrender in September 1945. Returning to the shuttle, you will return to the starting point and then head to the USS Arizona Memorial. Before embarking on the ferry that will take you to the Memorial, you can visit the exhibition set up in contiguous spaces with explanations and information on what happened that fateful Sunday of 7 December 1941 and the following days, with testimonies also of the survivors. Once at the Memorial, you will walk on a piece of history. In fact, from the walkway set up there it is possible to see the USS Arizona, which lies on the bottom of the bay, with chimneys emerging from the water. Buoys mark the points where the other ships in the fleet were moored.
Visit of the city of Honolulu
A pang bus network allows you to reach every side of the city of Honolulu. Therefore, with lines 2 and 13, from Kuhio Avenue you will reach what is undoubtedly another emblem of the city, the statue of King Kamehameha, located in front of the garden that houses the Iolani Palace.
On the way back you could stop atAla moana center for some shopping. This mall differs a lot from the classic American Mall. The shops, side by side, are located in the open air. In the evening instead Lewers Street lights up with its lights and torches, and you can taste both the local cuisine than the American one in one of the many clubs that overlook here, with the background of an NFL game.

Finally we recommend the breathtaking view of the city which can be enjoyed from this point located just over 200 meters above sea level.
