New York cupcakes for me are at Magnolia Bakery, here's where I tasted one of the best red velvet cupcakes in the Big Apple, here my review.
When I first heard of Magnolia Bakery for the first time a New York I had never been there yet, but as soon as I managed to set foot in the Big Apple, one of my first stops was this little pastry shop, as we would call it here in Italy.
Magnolia Bakery was born several years ago, even before cupcakes were in fashion, but it is with the television series Sex and the City which has had its success. Many come here not just to eat a red veiled cupcake, my favorite, but also just to see the shops, study the location, admire the sugar paper walls, the super sugary sweets and sit and chat for a while in this timeless atmosphere.
If you want to visit the very first store opened in New York, I recommend you go to 401 Bleecker Street, in a super nice area among other things where next to it there is a small playground where tate, probably super paid, they take children to the park sons of rich people and stars with a house in New York, but not only. Here you will also find the famous dog sitter with dozens of dogs in tow and everything you see in the movies: luxury areas for people who are really well and even walking in these streets will not be bad at all, believe me. If you want to dream a little, this little place deserves it, sure!
Today Magnolia Bakery has become a chain, looking like a small shop, but a chain that is located in various parts of the Big Apple. You can find it in various locations and all of them look authentic thanks to their vintage vibe and retro style.
The cupcakes come about 3 / 3.50 $, in official menu you can see all tastes and all prices. But it's not just cupcakes, it's about cookies, brownies, cheesecake and cakes. If you really want to overdo it, take one box of 6 or 4 cupcakes and take them to the hotel / room to have breakfast the next morning, wake up in the morning with a sweet taste like this could literally change your day!
After trying the cupcakes in the first store in New York, I was unable to not set foot in the other stores and, given my passion for red velvet, I could not avoid going into the other stores scattered throughout New York.
Some Naike's favorite sweets in New York we had already talked about it in another post and so, after having dedicated an entire post to Magnolia Bakery, soon I will also write about my three favorite places in the Big Apple for a tasty breakfast or snack, because in addition to Magnolia in New York there is 'and more!
