In addition to being an attractive place for diving and surfing, Hawaii is famous for its active volcanoes which can be visited by tourists on island vacations. Thousands of kilometers away, we find Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands in Melanesia, with interesting beaches for swimming and snorkeling.
