It is one a cooperative, set up by Dutch plant and flower producers which aims to market cut flowers and plants. More than 90% of Dutch trade in these products takes place there and takes place in different cities and regions of Holland.
Here the main national and international sellers and buyers of the sector meet. The cooperative has approx 6.000 growers who sell all their flowers and plants through the famous FloraHolland auctions.
The best known is undoubtedly theAalsmeer flower auction which is among other things the largest in the world. What happens during an auction is not difficult to know and if you have the patience to find the places, you can find out for yourself. With 5€ in fact it is possible to access the auctions that open from 7 to 10. Auctions do not always go until 10, sometimes they end much earlier, it is good to show up early!
