What to see in the Seychelles, what to expect when booking a holiday in Praslin or Mahè, five things to see in the African island, read the post and dream about your next trip.
One of my dreams has always been to see the most beautiful places in the world. And the greatest beauty for me is expressed in the colors and territories of tropical paradises. Imagine my amazement when last year I managed to find a low cost flight to Seychelles and I decided to leave.
I can confirm that so far the Seychelles are the most beautiful place I have ever seen. Every time I think about it, I am still captivated by the memory of that enchanting archipelago, so perfect as to seem built ad hoc.
To be able to understand it, you should go there, and I assure you that a trip to the Seychelles is much less expensive than you might think. There are so many solutions of low cost travel and accommodation which make them a suitable destination for everyone. If you are still not convinced, here is the 5 reasons to go to the Seychelles, which will definitely give you the courage to buy a plane ticket and go!
Dream beaches
I remember when I went to a travel agency and saw the catalogs with fluorescent blue waters, fine sand and white rocks on the cover, I thought they were photos edited with Photoshop. On the other hand, when you set foot in the Seychelles, you will see for yourself that the beaches do not need any touch up, because they are simply perfect. So perfect that they look fake.
La sand is talc, the water is very blue and transparent, so much so that you can see all the details on the bottom. And, great added value, it's hot. You could therefore safely soak in the sea all day without being cold. Perhaps the thing I love most about the Seychelles beaches are the white ones granite rocks that surround them and the reclining palms that give it an air of deserted islands.
However, my perfect island image is exactly with these characteristics.
The most beautiful? Really difficult to rank but my favorites are Anse Lazio e Anse Georgette in Praslin, Beau vallon in Mahe and Anse de Source D'Argent in La Digue.
The colors of nature
The Seychelles don't just have a dream sea. Perhaps one of the most interesting and exciting aspects is the nature of the islands, generous and luxuriant. Plants with bright colors, protected natural areas, colorful birds, bright green lizards and even insects in the Seychelles manage to become beautiful, with incredible colors.
Not to mention fruits and vegetables. Here you will find juicy fruits never seen and never tasted. For those who love nature and endless walks, the Seychelles are ideal. If you happen to be in Praslin, don't miss it Valleè de Mai, where the famous grow up coco de mer, that is, large chariots with somewhat ambiguous shapes.
Creole cuisine
I scents of spices, the sweetness of coconut milk and the texture of the fruits of the breadfruit are unmistakable traits of Creole cuisine, which is a mix of French, English and African cuisine, with some Indian and Chinese influences too.
The main dish of the Seychelles is the octopus curry and fish lovers will find many variations of fish, cooked in all sauces. A dish that is a bit unusual for us but very popular in the Seychelles is bat meat. Then there is always a great meal to finish the meal variety of colorful fruit.
Very popular in the Seychelles are the all you can eat buffet at a fixed price. It is a formula that many restaurants and hotels adopt. It is worthwhile if you have a lot of appetite, otherwise it is better to order take away food takeaways and consume it on the beach or in the apartment.
The perfect climate
The best time to visit the Seychelles goes from May to October because it is the least rainy. However, this archipelago has the good fortune of having an excellent climate almost all year round, with average temperatures around 28%. Even if two drops of rain come down, after a while the clear sky usually returns.
Excursions by boat
Perhaps one of the best memories I have of the Seychelles are the boat excursions, made to reach islands and islets. We leave in the morning by boat with a group and return in the late afternoon. The excursion often includes a buffet lunch on the island.
I got to see the centenaries giant tortoises on Curieuse Island, starting from Praslin, and snorkelling in front of theislet of Saint Pierre, in a water so blue that I stood staring at it spellbound. There are many experiences you can do by boat from the Seychelles. However, I always recommend that you buy them from the hotel or agency and compare the prices they offer.
I could go on with the reasons for going to the Seychelles for hours yet, but these are the ones that have definitely made me fall in love with the African archipelago. Try to go there and you will be bewitched too.
