Fortunately, in Munich there is not only the Oktoberfeste and even during the days of the festival there are beer gardens that are really worth visiting, here is the Augustiner Keller, unique for its location and atmosphere.
I've been to the beer garden Augustiner Keller di Monaco twice in a day. The first time because it was close to my hotel (and the Oktoberfest area), the second time, in the evening, because I was really happy with it.
The characteristics of this beer garden are remarkable, as I have seen in other Munich beer gardens… other than the Oktoberfest. Here the beer is 7.20 € per liter, at Oktoberfest, if only in the last weekend of the event 10 € dry, and the food is not bad at all.
In the photo I have tried the taste of various types of sausages along with sauerkraut, but I also tasted the chicken and potatoes, really delicious. The beer garden is very nice and has a large play area for the children. There is a part served with waiter and menu and one part self service. The first time I went to the served part, I had not yet seen that self service which has the same things with the difference that logically you take things by yourself, pay them at the cashier and bring them to the table.
The first time I said for 2 beers, and two dishes, one above and a chicken with potatoes we paid 35€, the second time rightly much less. I highly recommend this beer garden because just a few minutes walk from theOktoberfest and because full of people but much less chaotic than the classic party… and if you allow the beer it almost comes € 3 less per liter ;)
