A hostel that doesn't look like it. A hostel which looks more like a campsite than anything else. This is BaseCamp, a hostel located in Bonn, in Germany and which has recently opened its doors and which we can't wait to let you discover. Many love sleeping in campers and caravans, but it's not always easy to take your mobile home with you, isn't it? Sometimes it is impossible both because of the time, always too little, and because so many travelers arrive in Germany from far away and the camper must necessarily be left at home. A hotel not only different from the usual but also eco friendly.
The eco-hotel is realized through the recovery of old campers, caravans and trailers. A really interesting hostel for those who love to travel responsibly and always in a different way. The idea is that of a young hotelier, Michael Schloesser, who after having selected fifteen vintage campers he recovered them by transforming them into rooms and creating a hostel in what was once a camping site for caravans.
The campers come from a minimum of 30 € per night up to 70 € per night. Obviously on the site you can see all the campers available and choose according to the places but above all to colors and at your disposal, your ideal caravan. There are no corridors, no elevators, and no floors to climb - all guests have their own pitch. But that's not all: the furnishings of this eco-hotel also include carriages of some old trains.
Among the common areas where guests can relax on chairs and seats upholstered and reused as sofas. As with every campsite, bathrooms are shared at BaseCamp.
So what do you think? Do you like this place? And you, would you spend a night there?
