I just made the check in online with Volotea, a Spanish company that since December has replaced Airitaly on the Bari to Verona route.
I booked about two months ago paying 9,99 euros for a one-way ticket, of course I only carry one hand luggage with me. The online check-in process was extremely fast: in a few steps you can print your boarding pass (to be jealously kept and taken with you since checking in at the airport has a surcharge of 20 euros).
Maybe I was prevented and I was expecting a Ryanair-style online check-in: an obstacle course to avoid buying additional services such as priority boarding, renting a car or booking a room in a partner hotel. I just hope the flight is on time. If so, Volotea will become my new favorite travel company!
