One of the places I ate at best fries of my travels, after Brussels of course, it certainly is Dresden. In the German city there is a chain, which is perhaps too much to call it a chain since there are only two shops in the city, for French fries and other oil-based crap which is called Curry & Co :)
I found myself here a couple of times and I have always liked the fries a lot, in addition of course to the local. The fries there come in various sizes, I've never tried the bigger ones because they really are very very large for us Italians, the average size may be enough, indeed sometimes even that is abundant.
Then you can choose mayonnaise or ketchup, but also curry and other tasty things and can go out there directly, because the containers of the chips are cone-shaped, or remain seated in the room. Here, and here comes the beauty, the tables in fact have holes to stuff the potato chip cones. Since the cones don't stand alone, to free your hands and enjoy the chips better these tables are made for you, they make the pleasant visit and the relaxing stop.
