During the last two weeks of April a Monaco a minor Oktoberfest is held which always takes place in the beer halls of the Theresienwiese. Here you can drink excellent beers and experience the typical atmosphere of the great German party, perhaps with fewer compatriots and more typical people of the place.
In Munich on the occasion of the Fruehlingsfestyou can also take advantage to visit some strange museum of the city that offers fun details of Germany. Among the strangest museums certainly the Zentrum fur Aussergewohnliche Museum, as the name implies, the Center of Unusual Museums. The building located near the Vitkualienmarkte includes a collection of truly unusual objects such as locks, handles, Easter bunnies, chamber pots and so on and so forth. Adults pay € 4 and children 3, the museum is open from 10 to 18.
Another really bizarre museum is the Kartoffelmuseum, Potato Museum which is located in Grafingerstrasse and its entrance is free from 9 in the morning to 18. The strangeness of this museum makes it the only one in the world dedicated to this tuber, especially focused on works of art depicting the potato, from oil paintings to the press.
