Realization of our dream trip and wallet do not always get along, but with a careful study of the variables involved, you can get a package tailored for us, without the help of an expert in the field, but only your determination.

Starting from this premise, I can say that your tailor-made trip is just around the corner, and it only needs careful study, which will allow you to save on travel.
Saving money on the go: variants to consider
To write this post, I put myself in your shoes, and I compiled a list of eligible variants to consider.
These are the factors that most affect our budget: the ticket price plane and / or train; L'accommodation; The movements to and from the airport and to our final destination; the places and the attractions to visit if they have an entry fee.
1. Save money while traveling by choosing the best way
So let's start with our major means of travel: the plane and / or the train.
Once you have chosen your destination, find the national airline or low cost airline that serves the area, and check on the official website if there are any active offers, what type, what they include and in what period they are available.
On the website of the Norwegian Air offers are still active for various destinations both in Europe and in the States.
La Vueling Airlines, after a few and very simple questions of a nice and quick test, it tells you what kind of traveler you are and which are the most suitable places for you, with the relative prices obviously.
Alitalia has active offers for various Italian and foreign locations, including London, Tokyo and New York.
I gave you the input, now it's up to you. If checking site by site is not part of your plans, you can use those portals that compare all existing rates, entering the place of departure and arrival, and relative dates.
2. The search for accommodation
The same procedure can be done for hotels: once you have identified the hotel that is most within your reach, check its official website, not only to get more information on it, but also to see if rates are active for those who book through the official site of the structure.
3. What to see while traveling, how to save

On these it is in fact possible to find the program of events for the period in which your visit is scheduled, in addition to the fact that you could find the link to the site of the means of transport or special cards that give you access not only to public transport, but that also include entry to museums or some other interesting place.

Another city I visited and which has its own card is Vienna, with the Vienna City Card, from 24, 48 or 72 hours, with free rides on public transport, and various types of discounts.
In San Francisco there is Muni, with its 1, 3 or 7 Day Visitor Passport, which gives access to public transportation, including the historic tram, Cable Cars.
Then of course you also have to check the site of the attractions you are planning to visit, to see if there are times of the month when maybe the entrance is free, such as the first Sunday of the month for Italian museums.
