Weekend in Lisbon tips
Hi everyone, I'm back now from Lisbon and I wanted to share my story with you, hoping that it will be useful to those who want to visit it one day.
I must say that before leaving I was quite informed, even if the reality was definitely more exciting than expected.
Lisbon it is beautiful and has an exceptional climate: in November during the day you could easily turn short sleeves.
La will be instead there is an incredible excursion, so it is good to know that if you go during this period (November), it is good to plan for the evening with sweaters e heavy jackets.
I left on Thursday evening with the Tap Portugal airline and I must say that as a company it is not bad.
Local LisbonTHEHotel Residencial Princesa taken on the Internet as "3 stars in the heart of Lisbon" I must say it was a bit disappointing.
First of all it was not in the center at all and the advice I can give to everyone is first of all to look for the hotel on the Avevida da Libertade, which is a tree-lined street near the center, possibly at least 4-star.
Getting around in Lisbon
My advice for move to Lisbon is to use taxis because they are absolutely cheap (8,00 euros to get to the airport) and certainly fast.
Sincerely i public transport they are very efficient, cost less and, of course, are much slower than taxis.
What to eat and where to eat in Lisbon
In the evening, to eat, one piece of advice I can give you is to look for a place in the area of Barrio Alto.
There are many tascas e restaurants (the only ones to avoid are those that offer dinner + fado, like Adega do Machado, we were there the first night and the food was terrible and they make you pay a lot!).
Lisbon what to see
Il first day in Lisbon we focused on the central area (Rossio, Baixa, Chiado) and saw the Sao Jorge's Castle, Be Patriarchal (a tip: beware of pickpockets!), la Church of Saint Roque and viewpoint.
Lisbon weekend
All beautiful and fascinating!
Il second day in Lisbon we went to the Mosteriro dos Jeronimos (you can get there by tram no.15 from Praca do Comercio - tip: bring your coins to pay for the tickets), Belem Tower, Oceanarium.
