As some may already know, I will be leaving for a very short time New York, the big Apple! In my desperate search to find the best clubs, the coolest and truest restaurants and low cost activities, I obviously came across the famous New York City Pass. I've already written a post about the difference between the City Pass and the New York Pass, but since I've chosen to see New York's most popular attractions with the City Pass, I'll focus on this particular card.
First of all, the New York City Pass can also be purchased online. Just go to the site and select the number of passes you want to buy. The adults heathen 109$, while children aged 6 to 17 pay $ 82.
What are the things to know? First of all, that is pPossible to pay with Paypal, that once paid you will receive an electronic ticket in your mailbox and that will be your momentary City Pass. Indeed the electronic ticket is valid up to 6 months from the purchase and you will have to exchange the email (so it must be printed and brought with you) at the ticket office of one of the six attractions provided by the New York City Pass. If you want to have the ticket booklet at home, you can request them while you are making the purchase, but at least for the moment, they do not ship to Italy :) so we Italians will have to print the receipt email.
What can you save? The site says it saves up to 41% of the ticket price. And it is true. Taking a lot of accounts, buying all the separate tickets for the attractions offered by the pass gives me a significantly higher amount than my expense.
Another extremely positive aspect is that with this carnet queues are skipped. Now, I imagine that in addition to the New York City Pass, there are dozens of agencies that allow you to skip the line, so much so that there will be more lines in those tills that say you skip the line than there. To say. But the fact that it is written like this is still a valid reason to choose to buy this booklet rather than without it.
If the pass is valid for 6 months from when it is purchased online and therefore you have the possibility to organize your itinerary at your own pace, it is also true that it is valid for 9 consecutive days starting from the date of first use. This means that you will have to see 6 attractions in 9 days. I would say more than feasible. For example, I will be in New York for 8 days and I have already organized my best to see the museums and attractions that the card offers me.
We talked about 6 attractions, but we finally want to tell her? Here they are:
- Empire State Building Observatory
- Metropolitan Museum of Art
- Natural History Museum (AMNH)
- MoMA (Museum of Modern Art)
- Top of Ther Rock or Guggenheim Museum
- Statue of Liberty or Circle Line cruise
One thing that I like it less of the City Pass, is that you have to choose between the last two final destinations. This means that if I choose Top of the rock, and that's what will happen in a few days, I won't be able to see the Guggenheim Museum. You will pay for another ticket, you will say… yes, I will do that, but having all this in one pass was very nice.
Do you want to know if in the next few weeks I will use and how, but above all, how will I find myself with the New York City Pass?
