La Old Jameson Distillery di Dublin, built in 1780, was one of the largest distilleries in Ireland and the world and still has its charm today. The distillery is located in Bow Street, Smithfield Village where the shop is also located. Here you can buy everything from whiskeys, of course, to t-shirts, caps and anything that can branding on them. Nothing of that in essence, but if you like to do gods whiskey gift come in as well.
The visit to the distillery is a bit commercial at first with the audiovisual visit on the origin of whiskey. Immediately after we move to the visit of the grain warehouses and then of the malt house where barley was left to dry in closed ovens. The visit is quite nice and if you are fond of whiskey I recommend it
Inside are also made of special whiskey meetings, tasting and preparation. There is a similar center not only in Dublin but also in Cork. The ticket price is € 9.60 for adults and € 7.60 for children and visiting hours are 12pm, 14pm and 16pm.
