Sleeping in Brussels on a budget and in an extravagant place. We are at the Hotel Le Berger, a former brothel where the rooms, although small, are very neat and very nice.
I definitely owe a post to this beautiful hotel in Brussels. L'Le Berger hotel it is found at Brussels in Rue de Berger, in Ixelles neighborhood 5 minutes from the metro stop. When I booked I paid 94 € for two nights in a double room with breakfast, approx 45 € per night so for a 3 star: very little!
Reviews on TripAdvisor they looked good, the photos not bad and so I went. As soon as I arrived I started looking for the faults of this place. How could they cost me 2 nights with breakfast for less than € 100 for two? in conclusion I have not found any defects which is why I highly recommend this hotel.
The peculiarity of this place is that the Hotel Le Berger is a former brothel, Yes, exactly. This place has approx 300 rooms, recently renovated (the photos you see on the website don't do it justice) and very nice and welcoming. The rooms for two are quite small, while I imagine there are even larger ones as the hotel also accommodated families with children.
Each room has the name of the girl who was there inside, mine was there Camille's room. My room had a large double bed, very well finished and a bathroom, small but clean, while the sink was in the room. There breakfast in the morning it is abundant with a choice of salty and sweet food several times replenished during the course of the meal.
The lobby is large with chairs and sofas, dark corners and dark upholstery… well, da the idea of the past local! L'lift it is decidedly strange, small and with lights that often change color, alternatively the red and spiral stairs are a bit uncomfortable for carrying luggage. Honestly, I found myself very well and would definitely return. Ah, the wifi is great and the code will be given to you upon arrival.
