Well ... despite the current economic situation, I bought a house.
And so lately my life has been unraveling among tiles, taps, kitchens, electrical systems to be redone, Ikea, Ikea, damn Ikea. Let's say that I'm having little time to think about cultural activities, going out of town and travel in general.
But now I'm almost there .. the date of the next move is near, but in any case to avoid making me mad, my wise Elena has decided to take me to get some healthy sea air on the Costa Brava. Not that you don't feel the salty air in Barcelona but nothing to do with the wonderful Costa Brava!
Breathtaking landscapes, crystal clear water, a gorgeous hotel and with a lot of history.
Il Vintage Hotel di Aiguafreda (Begur) is small and delightful and with rooms that directly overlook one of the most beautiful beaches on the whole coast. The structure that houses it was formerly the accommodation for the workers of one of the first five-star hotels in the Mediterranean "Hotel Cap sa Sal" which however remained open only a short time.
Closed for many years, it now houses tourist apartments but its wonderful hall it is still open and visible. A dip in glamor of the 50s… You will feel like you see Liz Taylor sitting in one of the leather armchairs sipping a martini.
La Swimmingpool of the complex is open to guests of the Vintage and is beautiful even if cold as and perhaps more than the sea it overlooks.
