Now the opening of beautiful bars aesthetically it is one of the non-reversible fashions of Barcelona. And actually it must be admitted that most are really beautiful and well-kept, a skilful mix of ancient and modern, beautiful and well-dressed waiters, formal kindness (which we remember being happily absent in this city).
But, and it's a big but nice, when I pay 6,50 euros for a mini gin and tonic, I want it to be a perfect mini gin and tonic. And yet, despite their perfect aesthetics, most of these bars are just a red herring.
Don't take the bait. Or at most just go inside and peek at the furniture.
