You are looking for an address cute to eat well here in Paris? Then write down this name: The Little Plateau. A stone's throw fromIle Saint-Louis, behind a very simple but inviting window, there is one little Parisian pearl, in front of one of the most beautiful views of the Seine, just behind Notre-Dame: a truly fantastic location.
The Little Plateau is a restaurant and tea room that offers all the best of French cuisine at fair prices, with good portions and a touch of cheerfulness and kindness. There aren't many seats and it's very quiet, but it always gets full on lunch break: not of tourists, though, but of local who live and work nearby, and decide to have lunch here. I myself don't live far away, and when I can I gladly come to pranzare Let us know if you have any suggestions
From the very first moment, what struck me about this delightful restaurant and tea room was there family management and extreme friendliness. Besides the position, of course: it is impossible to suspect that just behind Notre-Dame there is a place so not very touristy, with so much di dehors and view on the Senna.
Molto small, but well cared for and welcoming, is just what we are looking for if we are wandering around crowded central Paris. The atmosphere is also very nice and informal: at lunchtime you will happen to sit in a corner, and maybe find yourself passing the tray to your neighbors, exchanging a few words! One thing that doesn't happen that often here in Paris is a great place to get familiar with the locals too.
We come to food: the menu it is tantalizing, and it changes everyday, and it offers some - few but really delicious - French cuisine, with nice portions for the price. I tasted it with great pleasure quiche Lorraine: ai mushrooms and also ai leeks and bacon, both delicious, very tasty and not too buttery (often the flaw of quiche) accompanied by a fresh green salad. All served in a beautiful dish. As an alternative to quiche there are soups, which are also very good.
From the menu, accompanying the quiche with a cheese plate and a glass of good house red wine, I spent a total of 12.90 euros. There is also a menu for 16.90 euros, and a special formula for breakfast and one for tea for 8.20 euros. Not bad for Paris in general, which as you know is not exactly cheap, and really good value for money for the center. As an alternative to the cheese plate, there are also desserts: excellent creme brulee and tantalizing the Meringue caramelized with almonds.
In short, highly recommended!
