We leave for Barcelona and the accommodation included in the package that the agency offered us included a 4-star hotel located near the sea in the area of Pomble Nou, Hesperia del Mar.
Reachable through the line L4 of the metro, we have chosen a T-10 ticket with which you can make 10 trips at a price of about 8 euros, the hotel can be reached in about 6 minutes on foot.
Barcelona information
Located in a very quiet, residential area a few steps from the sea Hesperia del Mar it presents itself as an excellent structure for the services offered to its customers, helpful staff with an excellent and clean room.
The formula we chose was overnight stay only, with breakfast there was an extra 13 euros and believe me it is absolutely not worth it given the presence in the surroundings of numerous refreshment points where you can enjoy delicious "Italian" breakfasts with coffee from the morning. and croissant for 1,20 euros or combined with orange juice while in the evening there are many local dishes and drinks for a few euros including pizza.
Barcelona clubs, pubs, disco tips for fun and nightlifeThis is if you want to stay in the area because if you want to take advantage of the many cafes in the heart of the city, you can really be spoiled for choice. Starbucks for example you can taste its famous frappuccini (frappè + cappuccino) a calorie bomb to taste, classic coffee, American coffee perhaps combined with some desserts, recommended is the tortaal milk and caramel or wild berries.
But if you want to taste the real Barcelona desserts, another stop to do for breakfast are definitely the bakeries that, like the Spanish ones, churn out numerous early in the morning. delicacies really delicious, in short, another experience to live naturally combined with the morning around the city.
What to see and places to visit in Barcelona
Back to the tour after freshening up we immediately catapulted into the center and for a crazy shopping like me, the first destination was the huge shopping center, The Eagles Cut, which literally dominates the center of Plaça Catalunya more than 10 shopping floors and 3 buildings located in the surrounding area.
After the stroll in the shopping center we walked on the famous one Avenue admiring this road full of tourists, kiosks with souvenirs, flowers, restaurants and street artists.
Strolling on the Avenue you can also admire the very very nice historic side streets full of shops, cafes, restaurants and chains such as McDonalds’s, Starbucks , Pain e Catalan baguette which I highly discourage as it is too expensive, about 7,50 euros for a half baguette stuffed with a little tomato and mozzarella.
On the other hand, the ice creams are delicious along the Avenue in fact, you can enjoy delicious homemade ice creams that will invite you just for their preparation.
Our culinary experiences were naturally accompanied by tours of the various monuments and after a first stop to foretaste the Barcelona nightlife we returned to the hotel and then in the morning we headed towards the spectacular Holy Family which literally dominates the city.
With a map in our hands that would make Christopher Columbus envious when he drew up the route to the Indies, we chose to reach the Holy Family on foot so as to fully enjoy all the surroundings, along the Diagonal for a good 4-5 km.
Visit Barcelona: what to see in 5 days
In doing so we saw a more modern and beautiful part of Barcelona Agbar Tower, a very modern building, built in 2005, 142 meters high and resembling a cigar that at night creates a fabulous play of light not to be missed.
From there to Holy Family the step is short, and the show as you get closer to that splendid architectural work is truly something unique in the world.
Expect to queue for the entrance ticket with around 16 euros you can also already buy the entrance to the house Gaudi museum at Parc Güell and with an extra € 2,50 ticket to take the lift to climb to the top and enjoy a breathtaking view, another experience not to be missed.
After having lunch in a small restaurant near the Sagrada the exquisite vegetable paella we went to visit the famous buildings made by Gaudì including the Pedrera, or Casa Mila and subsequently Casa Battlo ed Ammatller lungo Sightseeing.
This street is very famous not only for the presence of these buildings of artistic interest but also because it is in this avenue that the most important boutiques are present in fact we find Gucci, Bulgari, Dolce and Gabbana, Salvatore Ferragamo, Cartier, Prada, Louis Vuitton, Chanel and many other coutures.
