Every year, in May, in the beautiful and elegant Cannes , in Côte d'Azur, the very famous takes place Film Festival, one of the most important events for France.
Thanks to the sparkling climate that the event brings with it, including the many celebrities who come from all over the world, the town is populated and everything becomes more beautiful and curious, both for cinema enthusiasts and for travelers.
The Palais of the Festival
The centerpiece of this event, the famous Palazzo has five auditoriums, including the large auditorium Louis Lumière and théâtre Claude Debussy, 40 rooms and beautiful terraces overlooking the Bay of Cannes.
Shopping
Do you want to spot some celebrities? Of course, you can take a look around the rich boutiques that fill the Croisette, one of the most renowned and elegant streets in the world and in the main shopping street, Rue D'Antibes, which for the occasion is even more animated and decorated.
Celebrities: where to meet them?
If you want to see some VIPs more closely, as well as in the shopping streets, there are other places where you can spot them.
The easiest way is to stand in front of the famous one red staircase of the Palais del Festival, all the celebrities pass by and, in addition, you can thus get to the heart of the event.
Other renowned places, frequented by the protagonists of the Festival are certainly the Barriere Croisette casino, Palm Beach Casino, the restaurant La Palme D'or by Chef Christian Sinicropi, famous for his two Michelin stars and a beautiful terrace, the famous beach club ZPlage, a very trendy bar offering exclusive cockatils and parties and the Palais Stèphanie, where, a terrace with a sensational view, offers the best parties in the city.
Personally, I like Cannes very much and, if you love social life and rich events, you absolutely cannot miss it during this period!
Obviously, remember that accommodations cost more and you have to book well in advance because everything fills up quickly.
