Lübeck is one of the so-called Hanseatic cities of Germany as it once belonged to the Hanseatic League. Lübeck is the largest city in the Land of Schleswig-Holstein and has a large historic center partially rebuilt after the Second World War and has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
