    It has very little low cost, but it has a lot of typical. This is how I summarize the gastronomic experience I experienced sitting at the restaurant La Montanara a Canazei, in Trentino.

    Of course if one wants to settle for just an appetizer and something to drink, he can always do it, but if you are in Trentino it is not the case to put on inhibitory brakes.

    So, in my case, after an endless day on the ski slopes we were already seated at one of the tables in one of the most popular clubs in the small town at 19 pm. But we discovered this later, reading the many reviews online. Having said that, the restaurant at that time was already very crowded with ski instructors and many foreign tourists from half of Europe.

    They do not accept reservations, and this was one of the reasons why we decided to anticipate dinner and skip any idea of ​​an aperitif. The host, with very hasty but nevertheless friendly methods, waxes the menu for us. So let's start with an appetizer of carne salada and then the typical ones spinach spatzel, accompanied by a weiss. We then conclude with one strudel and a cypress grappa (this was offered to us).


    The appearance is that of a tavern with soft lights and large wooden tables, but the service is restaurant-style, fast and with abundant and well presented dishes. Definitely come back to try the typical cheeses, polenta with mushrooms and more. I recommend it.
