Trentino Vacanze useful tips and information on where to stay
One beautiful Friday morning we decide to leave for Trentino: destination Fontanefredde, a fraction of Cavalese.
And here we are, after several hours on the highway, we decided to stop at random at the Pausa hotel, where we had a snack (we couldn't resist anymore !!).
finally arrived at Campitello di Fassa, we were amazed in front of the hotel: a real chalet, all decorated with cockerels and beautiful colors.
We had a beautiful room: huge, with two balconies, one for the room and one for the bathroom, thank goodness, since we were there for two weeks.
The hotel is called Grand Chalet Soreghes.
The welcome was excellent;); Campitello it is small but very pretty, all to see, and only two kilometers (very easy to walk) from Canazei.
In the entrance hall there is a beautiful tiled stove and then three floors of welcoming and well-kept rooms.
On the top floor, some rooms also have a mezzanine.
The restaurant is well prepared, there are typical Trentino dishes but also Spanish regional ones, and some classics that never fail.
The strong point, then, is that everyone is busy to give you information and advice on things to see and walks to do, even if it is not their responsibility, and they are not wrong.
Trentino places to visit and excursions
We did some nice hikes, here they are: Col Rodella, Selva di Val Gardena (we ate here :) and the Carezza lake , and then the very interesting Ladin museum of Vigo di Fassa.
We chose to go upstairs Ortisei, where, after a very short walk also enlivened by a providential playground, we found a place where to have an absolutely delicious lunch. Val d'Anna coffee.
We were amazed at how lucky we were to find a place where there was even the mothers' kitchen to heat baby food and changing tables, not to mention the perfectly clean bathrooms.
Among the most beautiful things we have seen, above Moena (which among other things I recommend because it is delicious) you will find this refuge among others: La Rezila , where they even have a high chair and we ate deliciously.
All around there are wonderful meadows.
We admired the hut of a gentleman who very kindly invited us inside and offered us a homemade walnut. The hut was from 1940, completely renovated following the previous structure in 1999, all practically without a nail.
Then we finally went to the Sasso Pordoi.
The time to return was very sad.
There was the sun, the clear air in which the bells rang the clear sky through which we said goodbye to the Pordoi and Marmolada perhaps, in some time we will return to Campitello, perhaps in winter when father and son will compete on the snow, each in their own way.
