Considering that @fpiersimoni soon he will be in Pisa with his family I make a post for them, giving a couple of tips.
For Francesco: avoid taking my grandchildren to all archaeological sites within a radius of 100 km, I grant you though Tower of Pisa, a must, unfortunately children under 8 cannot climb but you can still admire the Tower from below and the Square of Miracles : ( better than nothing.
For Isabella: show of Joan Mirò at Palazzo Blu, I know that my nephew is passionate about art even if he is 4 years old, it could be of interest to the whole family, just in case, go alone with him ; ) open from 10 to 20 on Saturdays and Sundays, 8 € adults of the children says € 6,50 but does not say until what age, for info call the 050 916950
For mine nephews : since they still do not have the power to decide or choose the events and things to see, I suggest All world the famous mural of Keith Haring a stone's throw from Pisa central station
Have a nice trip, ah, I love Mirò, bring me a postcard; )
