I discovered theHostaria dei Ghiottoni thanks to my boyfriend, Roman DOC. As a Salento I was very curious about Roman cuisine and I heard about this place so much now that in the end I forced him to take me there. The first surprise was to discover that the mixture with the Apulian cuisine, which I find perfectly fitting: the two owners are in fact a couple, Roman her, toast him and they have been able to choose a menu in which the specialties of the two regions perfectly offset each other.
I opted to taste what was new to me: Beans with pork rind, tonnarelli seasoned with the tail sauce vaccinara, saltimbocca alla romana and, above all, spaghetti cacio e pepe, absolutely divine: thick sauce at the right point, in the perfect quantity to be tasty but not exaggerated, whole peppercorns and the extra touch: the pasta is seasoned and served on the table in a form of pecorino emptied, in order to take even more flavor. Needless to say, it was the most served first course on all tables!
Finally, theCozy atmosphere and the really nice staff make it a place not to be missed. It is advisable to book, the place is quite large, but also very popular!
