The Christmas garden in the Upper Town
Starting from 3 December, the heart of the Upper Town will welcome the Christmas garden, conceived and organized by the Upper Town Cooperative. A garden where you can leave your thoughts outside and get involved in the atmosphere of the Christmas holidays, between food, entertainment and solidarity; capable of embracing Carmine and Sant'Agata with a glance, two monasteries together for this Christmas.
Under the berceau that traditionally houses the tables of the Circolino in the summer, there will be eight themed houses: three of a social nature and the remaining food and wine. There will also be the possibility to send a letter to Santa Claus, have gift boxes packed with food and wine products, cultural and solidarity proposals by purchasing gift cards that support Emergency projects.
The Christmas Garden will be the secret passage to go from the Circolino to the Skating Rink set up in the cynobio of the Monastery of Sant'Agata.
The Christmas markets in Bratto – Castione della Presolana
Christmas markets in Castione della Presolana, a cult year-end event at the foot of the Orobie Alps, in one of the most loved and appreciated places in the Lombard mountains, behind the Lake Iseo and easily reachable from Bergamo and Milan.
The Christmas Market provides over 30 exhibitors that with their wooden houses offer objects of fine craftsmanship and agri-food products with various traditional flavours. Not only is it possible to buy and find many gift ideas, but there is also the possibility of seeing valuable handicrafts born live: around the Hut of the Nativity where, waiting for the arrival of the Child, skilled craftsmen carve wood and stone, other craftsmen work straw, hammer copper, spin wool and thus re-propose ancient crafts.

Santa's house in Gandino in Val Seriana
From Saturday 19 November (and until the afternoon of Boxing Day) Santa Claus returns to Val Seriana, at the foot of the Orobie mountains in the province of Bergamo. The Bergamasca House of Santa Claus opens its doors for the fifteenth edition in Gandino, in one of the villages of the Cinque Terre in Val Gandino, a land of merchants and noble personalities who have made this strip of land known throughout the world.
The Santa Claus House will be in an ancient and welcoming residence with a rich past, a few steps from the monumental Basilica of S. Maria Assunta. At the entrance, the Elves will help all the children to write the letter which will then be delivered directly to Santa Claus. All those received will participate in the "In the mine and on the farm for free" competition to bring all classmates free of charge on a visit to the Ariete Farm and the Val del Riso mines.
During the visit to the House of Santa Claus you will enter his kitchen, you can visit the living room, bedroom and bathroom. In special dedicated spaces it will be possible to create many Christmas crafts that will recall the magical encounter with Santa Claus. The farm animals will be present in the urban garden that opens inside the ancient residence.
Throughout the village you will breathe a festive atmosphere and thanks to a signposted route you will discover the most suggestive corners with many splendid nativity scenes. It will also be possible to visit the nearby Museum of Cribs, a marvelous collection with hundreds of reconstructions of the Nativity from all over the world. Along the streets of the center there will be markets. You can also visit the Naturalistic Museum of Orobie animals, as well as the Museum of weapons that were manufactured here and which for centuries have made this small town famous throughout the world.
Borgo di Luce in Lovere on Lake Iseo
Among the Bergamo initiatives dedicated to Christmas, it is imperative to mention "Lovere, the village of light" now in its tenth edition: a project created to enhance the architectural, historical and artistic beauties of one of "The most beautiful villages in Italy" .
Every evening from 26 November to 8 January 2023 the historic buildings of Lovere will become a symbolic palette on which, thanks to the collaboration started with the historic magazine Linus (founded in 1965), the legendary Peanuts will find a new home. Schulz's philosophy, capable of speaking to both children and the world of adults, will enliven the village bringing the vitality and beauty of the Peanuts characters, accompanied by a calendar of collateral events organized in collaboration with the "OltreConfine" cultural association will bring the best of the world of comics and illustration to Lovere.
With "Magic Xmas with Linus and the Peanuts" the Municipality of Lovere intends to pay homage to the figure of Charles M. Schulz (26 November 1922-12 February 2000), an artist of great sensitivity who had the extraordinary ability to create, through a few strokes , an entire narrative universe, in which entire generations are reflected. The reading public quickly learned to love the protagonists of the strips: Charlie Brown, Linus, Lucy, Sally, Snoopy and all the rest of the gang entered the lives of all of us, becoming icons and a source of inspiration for many. Because reflecting on Peanuts means reflecting on the meaning of life, on our being in the world, on the difficulties and neuroses of our society, yesterday as today. For this reason, the strips, created by Schulz starting in 1950, have been and continue to be an open window on us and on reality.
The atmosphere will be made even more magical thanks to a suggestive path of lights and Christmas decorations positioned along the squares and streets of the ancient village, as well as thanks to entertainment activities promoted in collaboration with local associations.
Altopianoland Christmas Village in Selvino on the plateau

Parco Vulcano, in the center of Selvino, will be home to the Altopianoland Christmas Village with various activities especially dedicated to children, where games and luminous structures will make tourists who frequent the plateau live a magical dream.
Inside the Park there will be wooden houses where the traditional markets will take place to search for original and home-made gifts to give away in the upcoming holidays. In addition, many recreational activities dedicated to the family will be organised, rides, woodworking demonstrations, awards ceremony for the huts and cribs competition, events and shows ... and to warm up chestnuts and mulled wine or for the sweet tooth chocolate, pancakes, crèpes and cotton candy!

The Christmas markets in Mapello on the Bergamo island
At Christmas time the magic of Christmas will also be a Mapello in the province of Bergamo. In fact, the fascinating Christmas Markets will take place in the town on the Bergamasca Island, allowing you to immerse yourself in the traditional Christmas atmosphere with craft stalls and tasty typical delicacies. Particular themed events are also organized during the weekends, with the aim of involving a greater number of visitors.
Among the many proposals of Christmas markets in Mapello – Sunday 4 December from 9 to 19 – it has something special. Starting with the imaginative title "Under the Towers… Nougats”, passing through the location in the suggestive streets of the center and in the courtyards, up to the presence on the town square of the Christmas Village with La Compagnia del Re Gnocco. A large sleigh with Santa Claus will be an opportunity to take a picture, Christmas-themed manual workshops and chores to decorate the gate of the municipality with everyone's wishes will characterize the day, together with folk dances for adults and children with the dancing Elves and to the games of yesteryear.
In the morning the two bands of Mapello and Prezzate will play around the streets of the town, the markets will be animated by more than one hundred exhibitors including food, handmade and gift ideas, the "Santa Claus train" will run for free through the streets of Mapello, while an exhibition of sculptures with Maestro Midali's chainsaw will be set up at the Scotti farm. Without forgetting the exhibition of historic cars, that of Mapellese painters and the climb to the bell tower with sweet surprises (from 14 to 17 pm). And then bagpipers, face painting, fire eaters and stilt walkers. Friends from Sasbach, a German town with which Mapello is twinned, will also be present at “Sotto le Torri… Torroni”.
Markets of Santa Lucia in Seriate in the Terre del Vescovado
Go back to Serie A Feast of Saint Lucia, organized for many years by the Municipality of Seriate with a rich program of side entertainment events. The "Santa Lucia Market waiting for Christmas" in Piazza Donatori di Sangue also returns as part of the Festival, now in its 4th edition.
The spirit and magic of Christmas arrive in Seriate with the characteristic decorations, nativity scenes, typical regional quality products, sweets & street food. There will be some proposals dedicated to the home and natural well-being.

Clusone Christmas Markets in the Blue Ribbon Park
The Christmas markets will be set up in the Blue Ribbon Park, at the foot of the majestic secular sequoias and will kick off on Saturday 3 December and then repeat themselves on 4/7/8/9/10/11/12/17/18/23/24/26 /27/28/29/30 December from 10 to 19 (10 December from 10 to 22). During the Christmas period on the dates 3, 23, 26, 28 and 30 December from 15 to 17,30 pm entertainment with street artists for the little ones. On December 8th, 10th, 23rd and 24th it will be possible to deliver the letter and take a picture with Santa Claus.
