    Eroica Sud, an old-time cycling race in TuscanyIn Tuscany at the beginning of May there will be a bicycle touring competition that is not very competitive. It is called Eroica Sud and it is an extravagant competition that is part of the touristic cycle initiatives called Eroica. Born in 1997, it takes place in the province of Siena and wants to tell the glorious cycling of the past. L'Heroic South it will take place on 4 and 5 May with two types of route and the peculiarity is that it runs on the white and unpaved roads of the Crete Senesi, starting from Buonconvento, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. The event is open to everyone and those who participate usually get on a vintage bike like clothing.



    The Eroica Sud cycling race is defined as the most extreme part of the route of the original Eroica (which will take place on 5 October 2014) and starting from buonconvento will cross the Brunello vineyards. There are two types of routes, one 82 kilometers long with the refreshment points at the Cantina Ciacci Piccolomini and the Cantina di Montalcino, and the medium one of 62 kilometers.
