London Ice Sculpting Festival in January ice sculptures in London



    London Ice Sculpting Festival It is the largest event ever that takes place in all of Canary Wharf with a huge amount of ice and takes place from Friday 11 January until Sunday 13 January 2013.

    THEevent is free and talented sculptors from 12 countries who will compete against time to create works of art of cold glittering blocks. Anyone can participate, as long as you are at least 12 years old and learn the basic techniques of ice sculpture.

    New for 2013 is the Graffiti wall where adults can free the Banksy inside them on an ice wall created for the occasion. There is also a Snowpit where people of all ages can enjoy snowballs, snowmen and castles. Visitors can also try playing a game of chess on a large outdoor chess board and lots of other new features on the site.
